| I have built this prop for someone in need of a blaster for a Mara Jade costume. It is based on an airsoft gun and it is non-functional. Although much of it is plastic, I painted it to have a metallic look. The magazine butt, the trigger and the safety as well as all the attached parts such as the slider butt, the barrel, the muzzle, the radiator and the feed line are metal. There is also a metal rod inside, running the length of the gun, holding everything in place. It weighs about 12 ounces, so worn in an "assassin style" holster, it won't weigh down the slender girl that is Mara. I have tried to make it look like a customized, heavily used, worn out weapon, not like it just came off of an assembly line. I will not take anymore orders for blasters, so please don't ask. |
